What are Steel Hollow Sections (Box Section) ?

Hollow Sections (box section) are produced from flat steel coil products, first the steel coil is slit to the desired width and then roll-formed into a cylindrical shape, before roll-forming the final shape and welding the edges together.

The hollow section is a tubular section with various shapes, the most notable are rectangular hollow sections (RHS), square hollow sections (SHS), and circular hollow sections (CHS).

Hollow sections are produced in structural grades and may be used in construction, manufacturing, structures, frames, furniture, transport, security grills and general fabrication.
