What is Hot Rolled Steel ?
Hot rolled steel is produced by continuous rolling from semi-finished steel products. Producing ‘continuously’ keeps the market price of hot rolled steel lower. Hot rolled steel doesn’t have tight rolling tolerances which the cold rolling process provides. The production method leaves the steel with internal stresses and an oxide on the surface, known as mill scale.
What is Hot Rolled Sheet ?
Hot rolled sheet is produced by decoiling hot rolled coil at room temperature and cutting the coil to the desired length of sheet.
