Cost-Effective Carbon Raiser (GCA)
Gas Calcined Anthracite (GCA) is manufactured by calcining high-grade anthracite coal in vertical gas-fired shaft furnaces at temperatures typically reaching 1,200 degC to 1,300 degC. This specialized thermal process removes volatile matter and moisture, resulting in a dense, high-purity carbon raiser with stable physical and chemical properties.
GCA is primarily used as a cost-effective carbon additive in the steelmaking and foundry industries. Its reliable fixed carbon content and low electrical resistivity make it an ideal choice for the production of high-quality carbon steels, grey iron, and ductile iron castings.
