What is Steel Busheling Scrap?
Busheling steel scrap generally consists of sheet clippings, drops, stampings, and thin offcuts produced as a by-product of manufacturing operations. It only applies to new production scrap, rather than scrap generated from obsolete items, such as used cars.
According to the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) guidelines, No. 1 Busheling is to be free of metallic coatings (such as galvanization), lined, vitreous enameled, and electrical sheet steel containing over 0.5% silicon. An equivalent European grade is E8 new scrap, and in the UK, grade 8A.
These ferrous busheling scraps are processed by advanced machinery from an assortment of industries.
