What is Cast Steel?
Cast Steel uses different steel grades to produce parts in their final or near-final shape with good structural strength. It's chosen over iron casting when more strength or shock resistance is needed. Steel castings are categorized into two general groups: carbon steels and alloy steels.
Cast iron and cast steel differ in carbon levels, properties and application; cast iron contains more carbon (2% to 4%) than cast steel (0.15% to 2%).
What are Shredder Hammers?
Shredder Hammers are used in shredding mills for the size reduction of metal scrap, such as automotive, steel/ferrous scrap, aluminium profiles, copper wires, etc. They are produced from cast steel, made by pouring molten steel into molds to create high-tensile components.
